About Licensly
The idea for Licensly was born when I worked as Customer Lifecycle Manager on behalf of Microsoft via Concentrix in Spain. I was advising Danish SMBs on their CSP licenses, and became frustrated that there was no simple, independent tool in Danish that gave a clear and accessible overview of licensing options. Existing solutions were either too technical, English-only, or lacked the simple overview that decision-makers need. So I built it myself, in Danish and without a sales pitch.
My name is Michal Lampe Sørensen. I hold an MSc in IT from Aarhus University and hold seven Microsoft Fundamentals certifications covering M365 licensing, Copilot and agents, security and compliance, Azure, AI, Power Platform and Dynamics 365 (MS-900, AB-900, SC-900, AZ-900, AI-900, PL-900, CRM).
In my spare time I build projects like blisko.dk, ihanstholm.dk, igrenaa.dk and Licensly. I build these tools because I get annoyed when things are needlessly complicated.
What is Licensly?
Licensly is a free tool that helps IT managers, MSP consultants, procurement professionals and anyone else who needs to choose the right Microsoft 365 license. You don't need to be a Microsoft expert to use it.
The tool compares all 10 Microsoft 365 plans across 60 features, calculates prices using Microsoft's current list prices, and provides personalized recommendations based on your needs.
Why is it free?
Licensly is a side project. I don't make money on the tool itself, and you won't be spammed with email marketing or sold on to third parties.
Revenue comes from my day job as an IT consultant, where I help Danish SMBs with concrete licensing projects, security implementation and NIS2 compliance. If you want to talk to a human about your setup, write to me via "Write to me" at the bottom of the page. Advice beyond the site is a paid service. You're not obligated to anything by using the site.
No affiliate deals with Microsoft. No CSP partner bias. Recommendations are made based on what's right for your needs, not what earns me a commission.
Full transparency
Hosted on Vercel. Pages are delivered from Vercel's servers in Stockholm, but the server functions (e.g. exchange rates) currently run in Vercel's data centre in the US. Contact happens via your own email client directly to us; we do not collect leads through on-site forms. We store no analytics tied to personal identity, and Vercel Analytics is aggregated and cookieless.
