When is M365 E3 the right choice?
E3 is the right choice if you have over 300 users, need Windows Enterprise licensing, or require advanced endpoint management. It's also ideal for organizations growing quickly that will soon exceed the Business plans' user cap. With the features added on July 1, 2026, E3 has become significantly stronger.
When should you choose a different plan?
Choose a different plan if you need advanced threat detection (XDR, Endpoint P2), Insider Risk Management, or eDiscovery Premium, that requires E5. If you're under 300 users and don't need Windows Enterprise, Business Premium can meet your needs at a lower price.
