What affects the Danish price?
The price you actually pay may differ from the table above. The reasons:
1. USD list price Microsoft quotes all prices in USD. That's the reference.
2. Exchange rate DKK/USD fluctuates. We use 6.85 kr/$ which is close to the current rate, but it can change. A rate change of 0.10 kr/$ changes the price by ~1.5% across all plans.
3. CSP partner margin If you buy through a Cloud Solution Provider (CSP), they typically add 0-5% margin. Some include support and onboarding in the price.
4. NCE vs. Enterprise Agreement New Commerce Experience (NCE) is the standard Microsoft uses for SMBs. Enterprise Agreements allow price negotiation, but volume discounts are being removed from July 2026.
5. Monthly vs. annual Month-to-month costs 5% extra. Annual commitment gives the lowest price.
July 2026 price changes, what does it cost in kroner?
Here are the concrete increases in Danish kroner per user per month:
- •Business Basic: +7 kr/mo (+17%)
- •Business Standard: +10 kr/mo (+12%)
- •Office 365 E3: +21 kr/mo (+13%)
- •Microsoft 365 E3: +21 kr/mo (+8%)
- •Office 365 E5: +21 kr/mo (+8%)
- •Microsoft 365 E5: +21 kr/mo (+5%)
- •F1: +5 kr/mo (+33%)
- •F3: +14 kr/mo (+25%)
- •Business Premium: 0 kr (unchanged)
- •E7: 0 kr (new plan, no increase)
For a typical business with 100 office workers on E3 and 50 frontline on F3: E3: 100 × 21 kr = +2,100 kr/mo F3: 50 × 14 kr = +700 kr/mo Total: +2,800 kr/mo = +33,600 kr/year
My recommendation
Use USD prices as reference and DKK as an estimate. Always check the current price with your CSP partner before committing.
Three things you should do:
1. Check your renewal date The price increase takes effect at the next renewal after July 1, 2026. If your agreement renews in March 2027, you pay current prices until then.
2. Consider Business Premium It's the only Business plan that does NOT increase. With Intune, Defender and Conditional Access included, it's better value than ever.
3. Use our tools Licensly shows all prices in DKK, EUR and USD in real time. Use the comparison tool to see features side-by-side, and the optimizer to find the right plan for your organization.
Budget models for typical Danish organizations
Three concrete budget examples at 7.00 DKK/USD rate (July 2026 prices):
Small business: 8 employees on Business Standard
8 × $14 = $112/mo = ~784 DKK/mo = 9,408 DKK/year.
Beyond the license itself, factor in: domain ~100 DKK/year, CSP partner margin typically 0-5% (0-470 DKK/year). Total for Standard for 8 users: ~9,500-10,000 DKK/year.
SMB: 35 employees on Business Premium
35 × $22 = $770/mo = ~5,390 DKK/mo = 64,680 DKK/year.
Advantage vs Standard ($14): you save separate spend on Intune (~$8), Defender (~$3) and Conditional Access (~$6) = $17 in add-ons. Premium costs $8 extra and includes it all. Real saving: ~25,000 DKK/year compared to Standard + add-ons.
Enterprise: 120 employees mixed (80 E3 + 30 E5 + 10 F3)
80 × $39 + 30 × $60 + 10 × $10 = $3,120 + $1,800 + $100 = $5,020/mo = ~35,140 DKK/mo = 421,680 DKK/year.
Note: mix-and-match typically saves 20-30% vs putting everyone on E5. All 120 on E5: 120 × $60 = $7,200/mo (~50,400 DKK/mo = 604,800 DKK/year). Mix-and-match saves ~183,000 DKK/year.
What to factor in beyond the license itself:
- •Consultant hours for setup (Intune policies, Conditional Access, DLP rules)
- •CSP partner margin and billing currency
- •NCE commitment periods (annual vs monthly, where monthly costs ~5% extra)
- •Possible add-ons (Power BI Pro, Teams Phone, Copilot)
Total TCO for Microsoft 365 typically lands 10-20% above pure license prices when implementation time is factored in for year one.

What does Microsoft 365 cost in Danish kroner?+
At rate 7.00 DKK/USD: Basic ~49 kr, Standard ~98 kr, Premium ~154 kr, E3 ~273 kr, E5 ~420 kr, E7 ~693 kr/user/mo (July 2026 prices). Always check the actual invoice. CSP partner margin and exchange rate affect the final price.
Why do Microsoft 365 prices fluctuate in kroner?+
Microsoft prices all plans in USD and bills in local currency. The exchange rate changes daily, and a movement of 0.10 kr/$ changes the price by ~1.5%. CSP partners can also adjust their margin, so the price varies between providers even at the same exchange rate.
What exchange rate does Licensly use in the price calculator?+
We use a fixed rate of 6.85-7.00 DKK/USD as reference. This matches the 2026 average but isn't real-time conversion. The actual price depends on the dollar rate at billing time and your CSP agreement, so always check the specific invoice.
